first day of orientation is over. remember when i said people act strange at orientation, well this morning they couldn't even remember how to stand in a line.
We were greeted a boisterous white haired old man, who goes by the moniker "chaplain bill.' Chaplain bill is the type of man who listens with his mouth agape. C.B. introduced us to the code of conduct section of the handbook by referencing howard stern and victoria's secret, to which he admitted wasn't much of a secret, hmm, anyway, when a strange silence came over the group of young and fresh seminarians, he added, "Just because there is snow on the roof, doesn't mean there isn't a fire in the hearth!" which i assume got him the response he was looking for. i guess the moral of the story is old dudes (72 year old dudes) still get...?
anyway today was kinda exciting, even for an orientation, i was however, a little disappointed that none of the big name professors weren't there, and might not be there this year because they are on sabbatical.
