I keep wanting to ask people if their kids are autistic... kinda like when i was riding my dirtbike through utah - i kept wanting to ask everybody if they were mormon - they were. but unlike in utah, i would hate to be wrong were i to ask these parents. I see a kid, doing something like coloring and being very concentrated while at the same time talking to me in a way where it would not matter if i were there or not - and i assume he's autistic. Maybe its from watching to much house, which btw i thought that it was interesting that the last house and the last 30 rock episodes (last according to hulu) were both about agoraphobes. I have to wonder if that were in any way planned. Does it seem to you that mental disorders get real popular (via media) and then... like schizophrenia was maybe the last popular disease - that maintained its popularity (gws and pts are kinda in and out, but never with any pop) for a while, and probably peaked with fight club, its interesting that ed norton played one in fight club, and played a character who was playing a schizo in primal fear. remeber oceans 13? spoke of agoraphobia in an almost condescending way - if you (as the audience) had never heard of it, it was a funny scene none the less. was howard hughes an agoraphobic?

You make me laugh. with you, not at you.

Don't ask people if their kids are autistic. It's like never ask a woman if she's pregnant. Being wrong is just too risky.
