I have lacked the ability interest myself in my own blogs, but i thought i might blog anyway today. Last thursday David Gibbons pastor of http://www.newsong.net/ came and spoke in chapel, and then after chapel we had a "brown bag" (he talks and answers questions in a classroom - while we eat lunch) with him. he spoke a lot of reaching out to the "Fringe" of society - defining fringe as basically the people nobody wants to talk to/deal with - or minister to. He said this is the new thrust of his life as of yet. The other thing he spoke of was "3rd Culture"



http://3culture.tv/ 3rd Culture people being defined as people who have spent the majority of their life in a country or two countries that is not their home. He sees this group of people as highly unreached - they are a people with no home. I do not understand the plight of third culture, because it is not my experience, but i spoke with someone in one of my classes this morning who was born in China, raised in Portugal, attended UT o A and is now here, he said that reaching out to 3rd culture is extremely important - like they are a group of people who need to be understood and ministered to accordingly.
